English: When entering from the square at main street passing the mosque on leaves an arched passage, looking around there is the most wonderful facade, with a mixture of re-used classical columns from much earlier times, and later architecture, some of it from an earlier mosque that was destroyed in 1115 when a fire erupted after an earthquacke. One can also see many (Koranic?) texts in ornate bands, as well as floral decoration.
Note the mosque itself, with a plainer facade, is to the right, out of view.
