English: Emblem of the League of Nations in 1939. Note that the League of Nations (LoN) never had any official flag, logo or emblem. This flag was used at the 1939 New York World's Fair. So, this is a flag of the LoN (to make it recognisable in this big event) and not the flag of the LoN. In addition, the League ceased its effective activities a few months after the beginning of the Fair because of the World War, the decision to create this flag is therefore not the product of a consultation between States but a simple illustration for communication purposes.
Français : Emblème de la Société des Nations en 1939. Notez que la Société des Nations (SDN) n'a jamais eu de drapeau, de logo ou d'emblème officiel. Ce drapeau a été utilisé à l'exposition universelle de New York en 1939. Ainsi, il s'agit d'un drapeau de la SDN (pour la rendre reconnaissable dans cette manifestation) et pas du drapeau de la SDN. Par ailleurs, la Société des Nations cesse ses activités effectives quelques mois après le début de l'exposition universelle à cause de la Seconde guerre mondiale, la décision de créer ce drapeau n'est donc pas le produit d'une consultation entre Etats mais une simple illustration à des fins de communication.
